Whether you're new to birthwork or an experienced doula looking to expand your offerings, this course will help you support clients with confidence, clarity, and compassion.

In this Ayurvedic Doula Training, you'll begin by exploring the foundations of Ayurveda—learning how the doshas, gunas, and dhatus relate to maternal care. You'll receive dedicated training in fertility support, including Ayurvedic preconception practices, cycle awareness, and sacred womb care to help clients prepare for conscious conception. From there, you’ll dive into prenatal support through Ayurvedic nutrition, herbs, and daily rituals that nurture both parent and baby. You'll gain practical tools for labor and birth, including breathwork, rebozo techniques, and energetic grounding. Postpartum healing is covered in depth, with the 42-day care model, belly binding, herbal bodywork, and sacred rest practices. You'll also learn Ayurvedic wisdom for breastfeeding and infant care, including lactation support and baby massage. Finally, you’ll be guided through building a sustainable doula practice, with training on boundaries, pricing, client communication, and self-care rituals to support your long-term wellbeing.

Certification

Upon completing all modules and assignments, you’ll be awarded an Ayurvedic Doula Certificate from Ananda University, officially recognizing your training in holistic, ancestral birthwork. Recertification is required every 3 years. Read about our Recertification Policy here.
