So Your Milk Hasn’t “Come In” Yet — Now What? Part 8

Part 8: Rest, Stress, and Hormonal Support

Milk production and release rely on hormones that are sensitive to stress, pain, and exhaustion.

While rest can feel scarce in the newborn period, even small supports help:

  • Feeding in a comfortable, low-stimulus space

  • Gentle breathing during feeds

  • Accepting help with meals or household tasks

Rest supports healing, hormone balance, and milk flow.
Caring for yourself is part of caring for your baby.
